The institute took off in the year 1991. In obedience to the instruction OUR FATHER GOD gave to his son Rev. (Dr) John E. Akpami, the president of the institute. The first Director of training of the institute was Rev. Ifeanyi Akobi. Who did marvelous work during his tenure and laid the foundation for the institute's prosperity.
